非常工整的剧本和教科书式的表演，早几年看马修麦康纳+安东尼霍普金斯的演技组合能把我懵过去，然而现在看来就是标准的老白男救世主片，世界是你的世界是我的世界最终还是老白男的，我且不说这片儿里女人除了表现痛苦貌似没有承担起任何其他作用连台词都基本找不到一句……就说黑人受尽屈辱和迫害，年轻白男努力半天功败垂成，所以最后我们一起把全场最亮的镁光灯聚焦到优秀的老白男身上吧！所有的工整都因此成了陈词滥调，就算原谅时代因素我也下不去手给高分

In 1839, the slave ship Amistad set sail from Cuba to America. During the long trip, Cinque leads the slaves in an unprecedented uprising. They are then held prisoner in Connecticut, and their release becomes the subject of heated debate. Freed slave Theodore Joadson wants Cinque and the others exonerated and recruits property lawyer Roger Baldwin to help his case. Eventually, John Quincy Adams also becomes an ally.
