@ProPublica Before RFKJr got his confirmation, the CDC was compromised. In 2023 they were pulling back on warnings about new Covid19 variants, and signs that childhood illnesses were making a comeback.
Some red states actually shut down their childhood immunisation programs, along with Covid vaccinations as a 'so there, 👅' to Biden. Very adult, I'm sure. But there is no doubt that having a brain-worm-killing, anti-science, anti-vax numpty in charge of *health* the US is going to suffer, and children will die in the millions.
