比第二部好很多，回归第一部了。利刃出鞘系列最出彩的，不是案子多么奇情、侦探多么酷盖、剧情多么讽刺好笑，这些都很重要，但真正让它成为经典的还是一些人性中的善与美。比如，第一部里小护士的职业技能让她不需要看标签就能认出药品，这也成了拯救她的关键；这一部里，大侦探布朗克不再执着于揭穿真相，而是尊重了当事人的信仰，给了罪人一个最后告解的机会。这真的是让整个系列都升华的闪光之处。
