前边几部剧场版和特别篇可以独立成章，但这集很需要结合原作背景来理解剧情。
在原作设定中，獠有着和本片BOSS“专家”相似的经历，同样在战场被出卖过，同样无法融入和平宁静的生活，同样对自己的义妹有着既回避又渴望的扭曲感情，但獠并没有走向“专家”这种可悲的人生，他是更积极向上的一个，两人是既相同、又相反的镜像角色。
阿香和笑美同样很相似，而且两人都是打扮中性的女生。其实两人相似这点，本身就是剧情暗示了。
不了解这些背景的观众，只会觉得这只是一部和前几集无异的普通冒险片。
