One year after the promising debut-ep Bloody Game is the Copenhagen girl trio Giana Factory ready for their first full length album. And it lives up to expectations. The album opens with Mexican with a fascinating fusion of slide guitar, subdued dull electronics and Louise Foo’s casual Vocals, close complemented by two other members Lisbet Fritze and Sofie John choirs. The hit radio Rainbow Girl speeding up in a song where slightly dissonant, sometimes småstøjende guitar and thumping bass weave in and out of blip synth passages on a base of programmed drums. This combination of cool female vocals, electricity and electronics continues through the album, often with a slightly melancholic tone whether the tempo is high, low or medium and ensures Giana Factory a expression, which is pretty original, at least according to Danish standards. The quite minimalistic songs remind perhaps legally very similar but in return they are quite catchy. Save The Youth rescues might not rock youth, but shows that it is alive and well.
