电影式分镜，神态动作细节以及色彩，情节设计和行进，各方各面臻于极致的一部作品。不太同意它的主题是以小见大的刻画战争的大伤痛，我觉得是种族主义成见，具体体现在犹太人与波兰人之间的刻板印象和中间隔着的战争这条深渊，要不干嘛把波兰老青两代男人刻画得如此绅士，话说画漫画的出现在漫画里果然不会是坏人啊。
