读过《The Problem of China》 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
最喜欢的部分是罗素对中国、日本、西欧、美国各自文化和价值观的分析和批判。罗素的很多糟糕方面的预期都不幸成为了现实。他在当时背景下所提出的“中西结合”的最佳解决方式如今来看并没能成为现实。贯彻始末的“强大政府“并没有如愿出现，日本也并没有反思自己的扩张欲可能带来的后果，最终历史走向了他所预期的风险最高，损失最惨重的道路。而从现在这个节点去比对罗素的分析，一是感慨当代社会在精神上并没有完全规避全盘西化可能性中诸多的弊端，很多在一百年前国人精神中尚且存在的闪光和自信并没能抵抗住资本主义和工业化的侵蚀；二是他还是低估了他所总结的国人缺点中“贪婪、怯懦、无情”对中国政治走向的影响；最后则是更加凸显了毛真的改变了中国的历史。
