继《无人生还》和《东方快车谋杀案》后读的阿婆第三弹。主题是（表面上）基于字母顺序的连环杀人案。虽然字数才五万七，但感觉这书篇幅可以更短点，毕竟中前期真是无聊，杀人手法非常平庸，真正的高潮要到倒数第二章。除了意想不到的真相，作品对心理画像、动机的描写也很精彩。
