You can know the history of three thousand years by reading comics for 30 minutes. Using the comics to interpret history is a new trend of reading history. Merely with hand-painted pictures and jokes, Chen Lei (Er Hunzi) shows us the vein of history clearly. The Spring and Autumn and Warring States period was like a class, and the Qin dynasty collapsed so soon once it united the whole country. The three kingdoms can be summed up by the three battles, and there were many weirdoes in Wei and Jin period. In Northern and Southern dynasties there were many prodigal sons, and the Tang dynasty started very well. Unveiling the complex surface of the history and eliminating the unnecessary details, it has historical jokes on every page, which will make you crack up every three seconds. The hand-painted emperors, generals and officials are silly and cute, just like you and me, with merits and shortcomings. And the achievements they made in the crucial time of history made up the Chinese history for three thousand years.
