马丁·斯科塞斯使出了浑身解数，全片充满了夸张的电影语言，高速摄影、大特写、镜头的各种运动、快速剪接、跳接、主观镜头自不必说，连定格这种现代电影很少用的语言都大量使用，把内部动作外部化，将本来枯燥的金融业描绘成一个疯狂刺激的世界。但是，故事停留在揭露金融业的阴暗面，仍未免表面化。
