The instructions for Windows are frustratingly incomplete. When using the regedit tool, you might have to create a new "Key" inside Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies called "Google", inside it a new key called "Chrome", if either of these don't exist. And then add a new "DWORD (32-bit) Value" item and set the value to "2".
It's truly insulting, and telling, when companies don't let you disable these "AI" features with a simple setting.
This is honestly worse than Bitcoin and NFTs. Yeah, they've been "everywhere", for a while, but it's also been fairly easy to tune these "technologies" out.
I've never seen, for example, a situation, where the default payment method would be Bitcoin, and you'd have to jump through hoops to be able to use your credit card.
This is where we are now with "AI".
