When people first started joining the Fediverse in large numbers, a lot of them asked "Where are the weather accounts?"
If you're one of those people, please check out the FediMeteo project at:
It has weather forecast accounts for cities and towns across almost all of Europe and North America, plus Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
To follow an account, click on a town or city, then copy-paste its address into the search box in Mastodon etc.
@FediFollows Unfortunately, the nearest 'city' is not listed and the next nearest 'city' is too far away for a reasonable forecast. Shame.

@FediFollows @krafty @homeindorset For me, when a user asks about a city or anything else, it means they are interested in what is being done, and this fills me with joy. Thanks to user feedback and requests, the coverage map has improved a lot. And this is the beauty of open projects: dialogue and constructiveness, which in my opinion are two wonderful things.
If the profile looks blank in Mastodon, it just means no one follows it from your server yet. Follow it to make the posts start showing up on your server.
If it looks blank on the Fedimeteo website, then there might be a bug and you should let @stefano know about it.
@FediFollows @kevin @stefano @homeindorset good to know. both Tokyo and SF looked blank, but they were posting weather on the website. started following them to ensure the bots will begin to post to the Famichiki server
