@thedaemon i know what it is, i meant how are you using it.

if you do
xset dpms force off, then you can't bring it back?

I wasn't using it, until I was. It's a default in X11. I just walk away, I come back. Sometimes it comes back up, sometimes it doesn't. I will test that once I get home. :)
