In July of this year, fox capture plan launched their new label, "CapturisM.," introducing a passionate yet cool, fresh sound that leads the piano trio into a new era. Now, after nearly three years, they release their 11th full-length album, marking an exciting new phase for the band. This album features numerous new tracks that bring fresh atmospheres never before explored in their music.
Opening with "Deep Inside," a powerful track cultivated with audiences during their nationwide tour across eight cities earlier this year, the album kicks off with unstoppable energy. "Tokyo" (Track 2) delivers a dynamic interplay of driving beats, Rhodes piano, and synthesizer, creating an exhilarating groove. "Waterfilm" (Track 4) starts with an elegant flowing piano riff that gradually builds intensity, developing into a sweeping, dramatic progression reminiscent of water streaming into the ocean. Track 7, "GOLD & TURQUOISE," fuses elements of ‘90s to early 2000s acid jazz with fox capture plan’s signature melodies, creating a smooth, captivating groove.
Each member contributed compositions, showcasing their unique brilliance. Highlights also include a self-cover of "Unmet" (Track 8), the theme from the drama Unmet: A Neurosurgeon’s Diary, and "Delight" (Track 13), performed during their 2023 tour. With its lighthearted tempo and arrangements that spotlight each member in turn, it offers a playful yet sophisticated charm.
