For Crying Out Loud

Inspired by Leicester City’s extraordinary Premier League win and the multicultural euphoria that swept their hometown, Kasabian prolong the party. Serge Pizzorno approached the band's sixth album as a reaction to the sonic experimentation of 2014’s 48:13—its songs were written on guitar and almost all over a whirlwind six weeks of efficiency. They capture a songwriter basking in his sweetspot. “Good Fight” and “Comeback Kid” and “Bless This Acid House” are glorious anthems-in-waiting, while Pizzorno’s own favourite track—the hypnotic, groove-heavy “Are You Looking for Action?”—even manages the remarkable trick of clocking in at over eight minutes and feeling immediate.
