sinopsis
“This Time Last Year” is a Christmas song about the political landscape of 2016 and serves as Sawayama reflecting on what she considers a traumatic year for many in the world. Sawayama stated in an i-D interview that “This Time Last Year” is a commentary about 2016; now, more than ever, questions about our realities and the social fabric need to be asked.
