Despite being known as one of the more cheesy holiday renditions around, The xx were undeterred to tackle WHAM!’s “Last Christmas.” Recorded live at BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge, the occasion was sparked during a session of stripped-down performance versions of tracks pulled their sophomore album, Coexist. The result is a seasonal work chock full of signature melodies and a certain polish that only Jamie xx can provide.
