Nevermore

"Nevermore" / "Out Of Mind" finds ΣΕΘ stepping outside the witch house and dark electronica at the heart of the project to explore heavier ground. Drawing on years of touring and a longstanding pull toward heavy music, the single is built on live guitars, bass, and drum programming, all performed by ΣΕΘ, while the signature dark sensibility remains intact.



The two tracks are fronted by vocalist and lyricist Riana Riggs, who wrote and sang both songs to the finished music. Riggs first emerged as Jadis, featuring on Orion & Jadis's "Time Stands Still" for drum and bass legend Teebee's Subtitles label, before fronting the Los Angeles duo Edison Gem.



Across both tracks, Riggs writes from a place of hard experience. "Nevermore" traces the slow erosion of being worn down by someone, while "Out Of Mind" answers it with defiance and the resolve to break free. Taken together, the single moves as a single arc, from survival to reclamation.
