J.S. Bach & Reinhard Febel: 18 Studies on 'The Art of Fugue'

Bach’s The Art of Fugue is an encyclopaedia of compositional techniques, with each of its fugues derived from the same material. Contemporary composer Reinhard Febel has reassembled Bach’s original material in 18 more ways for this project, revelling in its complexity and sense of drama. It receives its world premiere recording from Duo Tal & Groethuysen, who also commissioned the work.
