Duels are a British band from Leeds and consist of brothers Jon Foulger (vocals) and Jim Foulger (guitar) and their cousin Katherine Botterill (keyboard), as well as Jon Maher (bass) and James Kenosha (drums).
Formed from the ashes of band SammyUSA, their early demos received welcome attention from UK radio DJs such as Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq. Their first limited edition single Potential Futures was released on the Transgressive label on 18 July 2005.
In May 2005 they signed to Nude Records, with an album expected in early 2006. Their second single, Pressure On You, was released on 7 November 2005.
