Dustier Cartridge EP

In a box of old video games, you find a dusty old cartridge. You don't remember the game at all, but the soundtrack is somehow familiar...



The Dustier Cartridge EP is a "demake" of seven songs from my 2022 album, Dusty Cartridge: Soundtrack to a Forgotten Kingdom. Dusty Cartridge is an imaginary soundtrack to a lost Nintendo 64 game, and I thought it would be fun to imagine what those songs would sound like if they were from an older, even-more-lost NES game from the same fictional franchise.



The songs on this EP were created using Famitracker, a tracker specifically designed for writing authentic NES chiptunes. The source project files are included on this disk. They can be opened, played back, and edited using Famitracker.
