Simple

2008 debut solo album from the former leader of The Unbelievable Truth and brother of Radiohead's Thom. After the break up of his band, Andy spent a number of years in Moscow gathering his thoughts. Simple is stripped-back, acoustic and emotional, often similar to the quieter half of Neil Young's After The Gold Rush, Ryan Adams' Heartbreaker, Elliott Smith, Gillian Welch, early REM or Low. This is an album of songs that are beautifully simple and often, simply beautiful. Andy Yorke, a genuine heart-on-sleeve singer/songwriter. Aktive Records.
