The music of Sergei Rachmaninoff is close to the heart of Anna Fedorova. The young Ukrainian-born pianist, still in her twenties, boasts an already impressive career, which has brought her to all continents, playing in Tonhalle Zurich, Teatro Colon, Carnegie Hall, numerous appearances at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Verbier Festival and many other famous venues. On this new CD she plays Rachmaninoffs second Piano Concerto, with Laercio Diniz conducting the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, and the gorgeous Cello Sonata with young master cellist Benedict Kloeckner.
