Your bravest fight is the first single released by From your balcony in a while.
At the origin of the song, there’s a conversation between Nicolas (the man behind
the band) and one of his best friend : « We were talking about his father retirement
party, says Nicolas, and he described me precisely how his father felt after
everyone went home... worn out, drained, and deeply sad. As if a part of him had
just gone ». Your bravest fight was written and composed the day after that
conversation. « That story inspired me so much, I’ve always been fascinated about
the role of work in everyone’s life… ».
The B-side Home is probably the boldest song the band has ever written. « This
isn’t representative of the musical direction we’ve chosen for the album, but this is a
very precious song to me. A song about someone whith whom I was realy close. I
can’t say more, because it would be too personal, but after Hushing, this is my
second song about illness ».
Your bravest fight will also feature on Beautiful Alone, the band full lenght debut
record, expected in fall 2015.
