Overview

Chet reunited with the Canadian Avant-Garde pianist for one recording in 1985 (they performed together briefly in 1955). Bley is surprisingly restrained in this setting, and absence of a rhythm section gives the album a warm, intimate feel. This is probably Chet Baker's prettiest recording. There is famous story regarding these two. Soon after recording this album, Baker and Bley performed together in Toronto. Legend has it that Chet fell asleep on stage during the performance, and eventually had to be carried off.
