An Ocean Of Thoughts

Following 2019’s Remote Viewing, James Clements returns with his second full-length album under the Comit alias on A Strangely Isolated Place, with another dose of finely-tuned, rhythmic nostalgia, inspired by the many timeless influences of the electronica and IDM genres.
“The musicality of Clements’ mind is pronounced, through his melodic tone, to textured space, and harmonic chords. It’s not just a wildly transforming algorithm that we’ve experienced at live shows standing in the dark – but a supremely listenable piece of music, as much bespoke made for your mind as for your heart”. (Headphone Commute on 2019’s ‘Remote Viewing’)
“In a beautifully refined shift away from the steely contours and urgent rhythms of his widely-adored ASC releases, Comit locates a finely feathered balance of float-away melodies and the kind of sweetly puckered, whirring rhythmic impulses that connect ‘90s Autechre and B12 to early Ulrich Schnauss’ noughties ambient-pop and its contemporary echoes from the likes of Synkro”. (Boomkat on 2019’s ‘Remote Viewing’)
An Ocean Of Thoughts will be available on Marbled Purple and White Gatefold 2LP + digital, mastered by Rafael Anton Irisarri, and featuring artwork by Nick Brzostowski.
