Pony Ride

Not since ABBA has a Scandinavian band been able to stir up such a joyful commotion on a dance floor like Finland's The Crash. Their quirky and intelligent brand of indie-pop tinged with disco-era melodies fills the songs on the album, "Pony Ride". Although new to American audiences, The Crash is by no means a fledgling group. Since forming in their native city of Turku, they have put more than a decade of experience under their stylish belts. Their career has propelled them through a self-released EP, a full length album entitled "Wildlife" that shot up the Finnish charts to #3, a tour with A-Ha and a huge e-bay commercial in Germany.

Needless to say, The Crash have become a break-out success in their native Finland, across Europe, and in Japan, having achieved gold record status and winning over a gaggle of adoring fans. Their debut American release boasts numerous stand out songs. ""Reasons To Sing"" was featured on the CW Network's hit show, ""GOSSIP GIRL"", Season 2, Episode 11 (The Magnificent Archibalds). The radio friendly ""Big Ass Love"" is complemented nicely by the piano-driven ballad, ""Grace."" These tracks couple perfectly with the endearingly danceable ""Pony Ride"" and ""Solitudinarian,"" while songs like ""Lauren"" round out the record with a perfect combination of sonic hipness and subtle grandeur. There's no doubt that with "Pony Ride" The Crash will attract U.S. fans with the same intensity as they did across the pond.
