Igor Osypov was born in Ukraine, 1988. He began playing guitar at the age of 10 and as a child he was into punk and rock music. At some point, his rebellious nature turned its way into jazz and that passion still leads his musical world. Igor's original compositions not only draw inspiration from the jazz idiom, but also from other genres - such as classical music and rock. Igor moved to Germany in 2012 in order to delve into Berlin vibrant jazz scene. Currently he is attending Jazz Institute Berlin and studies under a supervision of a renowned jazz guitarist, Kurt Rosenwinkel. Among his other teachers there are John Hollenbeck, Greg Cohen, Kalle Kalima, Gerard Presencer, Geoffroy De Masure, Tino Derado, Guilherme Castro and Javier Reyes. He already toured all over Europe, with his band and as a sideman.
