For Otay:onii, 夢之駭客 Dream Hacker is an astral projection journey in the overlapping space where reality collides with dreams, or a black mass of shattered truths fluttering and swirling high above the ground. Her noise/improv-based approach to songwriting has, for now, been altered to a more structured and infectious ballad-oriented narrative, constantly enhanced by her stark vocal experimentation. As this dream odyssey winds on, she effortlessly switches between angelic healing tones and dreadful ritual howls, using her ample vocal textures to dictate the up and downs, cruelness and dreaminess in the lush tribal-percussion-led electronic orchestration.
