Menzoberranzan - Situated in the Upper Northdark, Menzoberranzan was a major city of the Drow on the continent of Faerûn founded by Menzoberra the Kinless, a Cleric of Lolth in -3917 DR. Led out of Golothaer, one of the Southern Drow settlments, Menzoberra and seven Drow houses sought to escape the constant warring of factions between those whom venerated the heretic gods of the Dark Seldarine and those who worshipped the Spider Queen, Lolth. Upon entering the great cavern Araurilcaurak the clans encountered a resident Beholder whom was slain and Menzoberranzan was founded within. In a few short decades the seven houses fell to attacking each other much to the joy of the chaos loving Lolth and in -3864 DR a great battle ensued causing the death of Menzoberra. House Baenre rose to first House of the city and House Nasadra was banished from the enclave and established the lesser Drow city of Ched Nasad. The 13th and 14th centuries brought similar turmoil when House Do'Urden ascended to the Ninth House by destroying House DeVir. Shortly after, House Do'Urden lost favor with Lolth due to the rebellion of Drizzt Do'Urden resulting in House Baenre utterly destroying them in the year of the Weeping Moon 1339 DR. Following the great battle with the Dwarves of Mithril Hall, Menzoberranzan suffered many hardships in the following years with Matron Triel Baenre in power over a divided and warring city. Lolth ceased answering the prayers of her Clerics under a self imposed time of peace until the Year of Wild Magic in 1372 DR when the Silence of Lolth was lifted and the city once again prepared for War.



Recorded in Fall and Winter of 2025 with classic 1990's Roland JV hardware (near exclusively) to preserve the classic early 90s Dungeon Synth sound.
