A revision of the book first published in 1987. The object of the study is to examine where the ideas that shape Pakeha male identity came from. The revision includes discussion of the major changes in society since the first appearance of the book, and their impact on the image of the Kiwi male. There are photograph and reproductions of cartoons and advertising material. An index is provided.
