Sinossi

The Poetics Aristotle The work "Poetics" was created by the ancient Greek scientist-encyclopaedist, the founder of classical logic, Aristotle (384-322 BC). Literary study of the author is one of the first works in history, which summarizes the aesthetic knowledge of the ancient world. Aristotle discovered a number of theoretical and literary categories, explaining the division of literature into three types: epic, drama and lyrics. Aristotle's scientific and artistic heritage includes the following works: a collection of works on the logic of the Organon, Metaphysics, Physics, Politics, Ethics, Poetics, On the Soul, and Athenian Politics. Aristotle - the greatest of the philosophers of the ancient world, whose authority was unshakable in the era of the Middle Ages, when the church rejected the entire heritage of ancient Greece as pagan. In his philosophical conception, there were already many elements of materialism. We are delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public. The aim of our publishing program is to facilitate rapid access to this vast reservoir of literature, and our view is that this is a significant literary work, which deserves to be brought back into print after many decades. The contents of the vast majority of titles in the Classic Library have been scanned from the original works.
