An Awesome Wave is the debut studio album by English indie rock band alt-J, released on 25 May 2012 by Infectious Records. The album includes the singles "Matilda"/"Fitzpleasure", "Breezeblocks" and "Tessellate". It peaked at number thirteen on the UK Albums Chart, and also charted in Belgium, France, Netherlands and Switzerland. An Awesome Wave won the 2012 British Barclaycard Mercury Prize, and in 2013 was named Album of the Year at the Ivor Novello Awards.

Nevermind is the second studio album and major-label debut by American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991 by DGC Records. It was Nirvana's first release to feature drummer Dave Grohl. Produced by Butch Vig, Nevermind features a more polished, radio-friendly sound than the band's prior work. It was recorded at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California, and Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin, in May and June 1991, and mastered that August at the Mastering Lab in Hollywood, California. Written primarily by frontman Kurt Cobain, Nevermind is noted for channeling a range of emotions, being noted as dark, humorous, and disturbing. Its themes include alienation, frustration, anti-establishment and anti-sexist views, and troubled love inspired by Cobain's broken relationship with Bikini Kill's Tobi Vail. Contrary to the hedonistic themes popular in rock music at the time, writers have observed that Nevermind promoted the image of the sensitive artist in mainstream rock. According to Cobain, the sound of the album was influenced by bands such as Pixies, R.E.M., the Smithereens, and Melvins. Though the album is considered a cornerstone of the grunge genre, it is noted for its musical diversity, which includes acoustic ballads ("Polly" and "Something in the Way") and punk-influenced hard rock ("Territorial Pissings" and "Stay Away"). Nevermind became an unexpected critical and commercial success, reaching the top 10 on charts across the world. On January 11, 1992, it replaced Michael Jackson's Dangerous at the number one spot of the US Billboard 200 and was selling approximately 300,000 copies a week. The lead single, "Smells Like Teen Spirit", reached the Top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100 and went on to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Its music video was also heavily rotated on MTV. Three other successful singles were released: "Come as You Are", "Lithium", and "In Bloom". The album was voted the best album of the year in Pazz & Jop critics' poll, while "Smells Like Teen Spirit" also topped the single-of-the-year and video-of-the-year polls. The album also garnered the band three Grammy Award nominations in total across the 34th and 35th Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album. Nevermind propelled Nirvana into worldwide superstardom, with Cobain being dubbed the "voice of his generation". It brought grunge and alternative rock to a mainstream audience while accelerating the decline of hair metal, drawing similarities to the early 1960s British Invasion of American popular music. It is also often credited with initiating a resurgence of interest in punk culture among teenagers and young adults of Generation X. It has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. In 2024, it was certified 13× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Among the most acclaimed and influential albums in the history of music, Nevermind was added by the Library of Congress to the National Recording Registry in 2004 for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant", and is frequently ranked highly on lists of the greatest albums of all time, including being ranked number six on Rolling Stone's 2020 and 2023 lists of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". The album has since been reissued with alternate takes and live performances.

转载自： Paul Kalkbrenner 来自德国柏林,投入电音前是一位小号乐手 (1985 - 1990), 1992 - 93 年他开始在东柏林的 clubs 当 DJ 播放音乐, 1996 年买了第一台写歌的器材设备,并开始投入创作之路.3 年后耕耘收成,他写出一些歌曲, 2000 年在 Bpitch Control 这个德国电音厂牌发行个人首张专辑 Superimpose ,并与其他 Bpitch Control 旗下的 artists 一起在德国展开巡迴表演.无独有偶,他陆续在 Bpitch Control 发行了许多单曲, 2004 年发行个人第 3 张专辑 Self ,而我新买的单曲 Press On 就是专辑 Self 里第一首主打歌.多才多艺的 Paul Kalkbrenner,在 Bpitch Control 团队里还负责音乐 video 的工作,想当然尔这张 ep 当然也由自己一手包办. Paul Kalkbrenner 的作品杰出在其歌曲架构,编排与旋律,在一篇专访文章里, Paul Kalkbrenner 表示他喜欢早期 trance 的旋律 (如早期的 Platipus, A13, Dragonfly, T.I.P. 等),且他不排拒把这些早期 trance 旋律融入新创作里,对於一般创作者而言这是相当不寻常,却很难能可贵的.作品中也不难发现他时常将 2 个简单的和弦搭在一起,然后跨越整首歌曲 -- Brennt 这张 ep 就是一例.这么独特又不落俗套的 groovy,令人讚赏.

这张打着面向国际旗号的原创国语专辑《浮躁》与以往王菲专辑庞杂的幕后创作不同，极力精简创作制作人员。张亚东第一次成功监制王菲全辑作品，窦唯+张亚东+王菲+COCTEAUTWINS的创作模式成功缔结了一个王菲时代的巅峰。专辑以王菲自主自在的状态作为专辑主导概念，除去两手作品 假手他人，一首纯音乐作品，其余词曲创作均由王菲一手包办。幕后编配制作上的BANDSOUD风格简化一切烦琐的的器乐铺陈。中文流行音乐词作往往左右着作品的重心，《浮躁》却刻意淡化作品中词作的地位，仅以标题叙述歌曲情境，歌曲吟唱则用简单重复的音节强化标题模绘的况味，于是成就了这张完全由“意识”或“潜意识”主导的概念专辑。

10月29日的北京，内地摇滚乐再次开辟了一个新的时代。2005年，在许巍、崔健相继创造了摇滚高潮以后，一场小型的，但是意义丝毫不差、开创性更为突出的演出让我们激动。高旗与他的超载乐队在东方先锋剧场举行的其实可以称之为“音乐会”的“生命之诗”UNPLUGGED专场点亮了内地摇滚步入颠峰的街灯。 当晚的演出可以说是群星云集。水木年华组合做为同门兄弟放弃了外地的演出专程赶来捧场。而郑钧、许巍、姜昕、黄征、羽泉组合中的羽凡、高晓松、阿朵等等明星也纷纷到场为超载助威。新声代乐队中的痛苦的信仰、天空、便利商店等同样做为铁杆代表早早来到现场。即使是因为演出而不能前来的重量级人物如崔健、沙宝亮、唐朝乐队等也全都录制了VCR来表达祝福。众星鼎立举“旗”，也预示着演出即将开始的精彩。 整场演出的布置充满戏剧的味道。搭建很低的舞台，充满欧式复古的长剑、头盔，背景高高的吊桥、残垣，苍石、枯叶，在幽冷的灯光中显得极其凝重。而超载乐队歌曲的第一部分，从激情的《陈胜吴广》到悲情的《感受》、《距离》，从史诗般的《生命之诗》到充满幻想的《梦缠绕的时候》，音乐的厚重与歌词的冰冷被木吉他的颗粒重新诠释。而在演出舞台上方的窗口，欧洲贵妇与骑士造型的演员更让整个氛围充满神秘。而就在新歌《不要怪我》结束，乐队走回吊桥后的城堡时，整个舞台升起薄纱，空中飘散着红艳的玫瑰花瓣。瞬间的浪漫开始了演出的第二部分，《依靠》、《完美夏天》、《不要告别》……绚丽的灯光将薄纱映射下的舞台打扮得婀娜多姿。即使是象《如果我现在》这样冷艳的歌曲，依旧被重新的编配诠释得深情优雅。不可否认超载乐队的三张专辑为我们带来了全部的感触，更不可否认在这场全新的演出意境里，曾经的老歌再次被赋予了新的魔力。《生命是一次奇遇》因为吉他手李延亮的合唱而引得再次的欢呼。而《太空遨游2001》使得所有的座位彻底失去了存在的意义。和普通的演唱会不同，直到最后《每次都想拥抱你》的返场，现场仍旧座无虚席，几乎没有人提前离开。或许所有人都不想过早的离开这个永远留在历史镜头中的地方。 一个疯狂的文化时代里，一个啼笑的音乐空间里，“生命之诗”固守了他的创造者所遵循的高贵与激情。高旗和他的超载乐队也为我们演绎着那与生俱来的浪漫与不羁。而2005年的乐坛在被浮躁的流行歌曲搅得毫无美感与力量时，终于依靠摇滚乐的全面复活而踯躅前行。

1997年张楚第3张专辑《造飞机的工厂》就像是上一张专辑《孤独的人是可耻的》延续和演化，张楚在其中那孤独的声音显得更加高亢并凄凉了。专辑中的音乐走向了怪异的极端，更加无规律并随心所欲；歌词里表现出的睿智，思想的那种无绪状态更使人难以适应，这恐怕就叫做曲高和寡。 涌动的节奏感和恍惚的音效是这张专辑听觉方面的基础，吉他和鼓的音色既新潮又富于画面感，通过在键盘和话筒两个轨道上作的手脚，张楚进一步获取了超现实主义的荒诞感，另外，他还有一只健康的、可以把一个音拉长而不失厚度的新嗓子。现在的张楚是否真的会被什么人理解，专辑告诉我，他把自己封闭起来了。

Over the course of three gloriously dream-dazzled albums, of which the irony-free titled It's A Wonderful Life is the quietest, sleekest and--despite a relative lack of pop hooks--probably Sparklehorse's best. Mark Linkous, the boy with a toy box full of ramshackle instruments, has sweetly, solemnly staked his affinity to the entire living universe.
