Last to Know (2006)

The traumas of the past continue to divide families. Children cannot understand their parents, who were spied on and imprisoned in the GDR. How can they keep living in the past?
The touching documentary of two young filmmakers Dorte Franke and Marc Bauder describes the experiences of so-called "enemies of the state of the GDR". Based on the fates of three families of the brilliant film "(TAZ) shows how the system of repression in the GDR worked and what effects the experience of oppression in their lives today. An important film that stands out as a solitaire from the mass of silly Ostalgia Strip, which have little in common with the truth.
