旁白为朱迪·福斯特（Jodie Foster）。中文名虽为长江三峡，但并未主要介绍这座横跨长江的巨无霸-三峡大坝。而是侧重讲述了作为一项饱受国内外争议的工程建设的背面，大坝淹没的历史和文化遗迹。
