Joel-Peter Witkin - L'image indélébile
Overview
Witkin's photographs of corpses, dwarfs, transsexuals and the physically deformed are often considered shocking and controversial. The American artist makes no apologies in this obscure documentary recently revived in France. L’image indélébile captures Witkin making elaborate tableaux and one includes drawing on a decomposing horse's head. Is he exploitive or original?
