Padauk - Myanmar Spring
简介
During the heady days following Myanmar’s February 2021 military coup, director Michael Ghilezan introduces us to Nant—a young, first-time street protestor. In turn, we meet three human rights activists whose lives have also been turned upside down by the regime change. As the demonstrations continue, Nant comes to realise the truth of a brutal regime that has waged war against its own people for decades. But, despite this foreboding backdrop, her awakening to the plight of her ethnically diverse countrymates provides hope for the future. Beautifully augmented with poetry and art, Padauk: Myanmar Spring highlights the resilience and determination of the people of Myanmar, and the sacrifices they have made.
