Photographing a Ghost (1898)

Scene: A Photographer’s Studio. Two men enter with a large box labeled
“ghost.” The photographer scarcely relishes the order, but eventually opens
the box, when a striking ghost of a swell steps out. The ghost is perfectly
transparent, so that the furniture, etc., can be seen through his “body.”
After a great deal of amusing business with the ghost, which keeps disappearing
and reappearing, the photographer attacks it with a chair. The
attack is amusingly fruitless, but the ghost finally collapses through the floor.
