On 10th and 11th August 1996, 250,000 young music fans converged on Knebworth Park to see Oasis play two record breaking, era defining shows. This version, included on the 'Oasis: Knebworth 1996' Blu-Ray/DVD, was shot on the 10th and was remastered in 2021.

In August of 1996, Oasis, riding high from the overwhelming success of their first two albums Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, were to perform on the hit MTV series Unplugged. However (as was often the case), problems arose within the band, namely between the most well known members of the group, Noel and Liam Gallagher. An argument began between the two brothers, ultimately ending with Liam bowing out of the concert. The idea of postponing, or cancelling the show outright, was discussed, but thankfully, Noel decided to go ahead and sing lead vocals. What some initially thought of as a potential disaster ended up as a brilliant performance from Oasis sans Liam, and for the first time, gave the entire world a good look at what Noel could do.

With their second single released just days prior, Oasis takes the stage at Glastonbury 1994.

Liam Gallagher in concert at Knebworth Park, 26 years after Oasis' epic 1996 shows at the same venue. Performing to 170,000 fans across two sold out nights in one of the first major stage shows following the pandemic, the event coincided with Gallagher's third solo album, C’mon You Know.

Basically what you get on this DVD is a 1 hour documentary on the classic 1994 album Definitely Maybe. The documentary is an analysis on each of the songs (including bonus track "sad song"), and they also talk about the journey of making this album. You also get live performances of all the songs which were recorded from various venues. And one of the things I like about this DVD is that it contains the music videos for all the songs released from the album (the "live forever" video is the US version). There is a Limited Edition version which contains a bonus DVD. On this DVD there are two more live performances (of live forever and the Beatles song I am the Walrus). Also there are more interviews with the band on making the album.
I hope another DVD will be released for "whats the story (morning glory)?"
