Luisa e Manuel casaram-se recentemente e pouco mais possuem do que um mundo de ilusões. Manuel julga-se um Tarzan capaz de enfrentar todas as ameaças. O casal vai habitar um apartamento, não mobilado, situado num 5º andar, com uma excelente vista sobre o Tejo. Para Manuel esta inexistência de mobília não lhe complica a vida.Mas Luisa só aceita aquela situação porque gosta muito do seu marido.
