In 1945, as World War Two comes to a close, five small time crooks unite to form a gang. After several bold robberies they become notorious as "the front-wheel drive gang". The police attempt to stop their crime spree with little success, but how long will their luck last?

In San Francisco, two men kill a Chinese woman after robbing her store. One of the thieves has the same characteristics of the Italian immigrant Eddie Pedak and he becomes the prime suspect of Inspector Mike Vido. Eddie is an ex-thief that was found not guilty for shooting Vito in a bank heist, but the inspector blames him. Presently Eddie is married with a child with Kristine Pedak, works as a truck driver and has put a down payment on a fishing vessel with his savings. Out of the blue, Eddie's brother and gangster Walter Pedak and his henchmen Arthur Sargatanas and Cleveland 'Cleve' Shoenstein visit Eddie to invite him to participate in a one-million dollar heist. Eddie loses his job and his personal life is deeply affected by Vito since he can not find another job. He decides to meet his brother and accepts to participate in the hold up. Meanwhile Vito discovers that Eddie was actually framed in the Chinese murder. He visits Eddie to disclose his findings to him but Eddie has already participated in the plan. What will happen to him?

Film-maker Jean Diaz lives with his son David after separated from his wife. On their way to the new house near the sea, Jean and David have a car accident provoked by The Death (portrayed here like a grim-reaper). The doctor actually can save Jean, but The Death sabotages the equipment with his computer. The Death offers Jean to wake David from his coma, but Jean must make an animation movie against the violence for him.

A former bank robber is released after 10 years in prison. He gets help from a social-worker, but gets harassed by an old cop from his past.

Xavier readily agrees to cover up for his old pal Philippe, but he soon runs into difficulties. Nobody believes Dubaye's alibi. And everybody -- influential personalities, powerful businessmen, dubious go-betweens and the police -- wants to get hold of the documents that served to blackmail Dubaye; by all possible means...

由尼尔逊．吉亭编剧的本片描述法国人在奠边府大败后撤出越南，再在阿尔及利亚镇压反殖民地哥命，又是泥足深陷，阿尔及利亚最终宣布独立。本片是一部政冶色彩浓厚的战争冒险片，以强硬的职业军人和温情的法国清年为两股相对抗的势力贯穿全片，不过导演马克．罗布森在表现政冶立场时仍不忘娱乐性镜头在影片中的穿插，故看来不会太沉闷枯燥，再者有大牌明星阿兰．德龙的加盟演出，使得本片具有很大的吸引力。

The film consists of seven roughly 15 minute episodes, each showing what will happen if one or more of the Ten Commandments will be broken: Jérome Chambard is warned that he will lose his job if he continues to swear; Françoise Beaufort enamored of a stripper calls on her only to find her married to a janitor who doesn't know what kind of dancing his wife performs; Denis, a Jesuit novice, leaves the order to avenge his sister's suicide, which was provoked by Garigny, who seduced her into prostitution and drug addiction; Philip buys a necklace for Micheline though he is bored with her; a young man find out that his real mother is not Madeleine, but actress Clarisse Ardant; Didier Marin, cashier of a bank, was fired by his boss; the Devil appears as a serpent for Jérome Chambard and the bishop are eating.

Jean-Paul le facétieux, capable de déménager la chambre entière d’un hôtel pour l’installer dans le hall, le sportif, le boxeur qui ne lâche rien, le cascadeur debout sur le toit du métro parisien, mais aussi Jean-Paul l’homme de théâtre, son vrai métier comme aimait lui rappeler son père.
