From Prague to Cape Town in a Trabant. Two cylinders, two strokes, two Trabants, 20,000 kilometers. Through deserts, mountains, sand, and mud. Trabant Across Africa is a film about a journey. A journey worth taking, even if you keep telling yourself never again, and if you do, then not in a Trabant. A film about what it means to travel across the Dark Continent in the footsteps of the forgotten predecessors Hanzelka and Zikmund in one of the most primitive cars ever made. No embellishments, no script, no accompanying crew in Land Rovers. No certainty that we will make it. Eleven African countries: Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. Africa swallowed us up, chewed us up, and spat us out. Stunned, exhausted, determined to return.

After the romantic comedies Love Made to Order, Superwoman, and Casting for Love, director Eva Toulová comes with a story in which the main role is not love, but power and money. For years, he has been rejecting the verdicts of state authorities that he operates his business without the necessary permits and infrastructure.

This time the detectives deal with the case of a murdered professor. One day a cleaning woman finds him shot to death in his own study. The detectives will thus investigate whether the murder is connected with the victim's persistent effort for the removal of the University's quaestor because of the latter's strange machinations during the reconstruction of the University building. And they'll also want to know why the murderer took the great risk involved in killing the victim on the university soil. The search for the answer to the question who could wish the death of the peculiar but honest professor will take them farther than they have expected.

What’s more, the headmistress knows that a local councillor is trying to secure her job for his mistress, and she suspects that the whole situation is part of a campaign against her. The meeting thus quickly descends into a series of misunderstandings, accusations and increasingly absurd situations. One afternoon that spirals completely out of control for everyone involved.
