Ross Kemp on Gangs (2006)
Ross Kemp on Gangs Douban
other title: 追寻黑帮 / 英国黑帮
Ross Kemp returns to Sky One with a second series of Ross Kemp on gangs. They are four one hour programmes, starting this Sunday at 10pm. He travels from San Salvador to Cape Town, St Louis to Moscow, and tracks down the criminals that lay down their law, finds out what makes them tick and what is being done to control them. The first series (in June 05) won a Press Guild award. - The series was Ross's own idea, he was inspired a few years ago when he was filming a documentary in L.A. on America's love affair with guns. Here he met a man who had been shot and was left with six, nine millimetre holes in his chest. It was after this eye opening experience, that Ross felt more people needed to be made aware of the brutal reality gang crime. "This was the catalyst that made me approach Sky to commission the series. I have played lots of roles over the years that have glamorised these types of tough gangs but the reality is that itÆs not glamorous at all."

Ross Kemp: Return To Afghanistan (2009)
Ross Kemp: Return To Afghanistan Douban
actor: ROSS KEMP
other title: 重返阿富汗 / Ross Kemp in Afghanistan …
Ross Kemp returns to Afghanistan in this sequel to the award-winning and critically acclaimed documentary series Ross Kemp in Afghanistan. Regarded as one of the most significant pieces of television on the conflict so far, Ross Kemp - Return to Afghanistan continues to be an eye-opening account of a soldier's life on Britain's frontline. In the hot summer of 2008 Ross is embedded with British troops in the recently captured town of Musa Qaleh. It's the centre of some of the fiercest fighting of the conflict. Here, in the densely vegetated, claustrophobic green zone the Taliban mount ambush after ambush. Graphic, high definition images capture every moment of each battle as the troops push the Taliban back defending the town from enemy occupation. Off the battlefield the soldiers have time to reflect on their enemy, life as a soldier and losing friends under enemy fire. In the final programme of the series Ross meets the unsung heroes of the conflict, young soldiers who have lost limbs to mine strikes who now face an uncertain future. And, in the winter months of 2009 Ross travels back to Afghanistan, first to Kabul and then onto Kajaki where he joins the Royal Marines on their winter tour.
