The Defenestration of Prague, which took place on May 23, 1618, was the decisive historical moment that unleashed the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) between several Catholic and Protestant states and changed the course of European history forever. She is the happy mother of a seven-year-old daughter and lives with her partner, journalist Ivan, in a wooden log cabin from the First Republic on the shore of a flooded quarry. The place is idyllic, but the relationship between Renáta and Ivan is more complicated. Ivan is now a forgotten curmudgeon, while Renáta, who has become a director, is at the peak of her powers. She encounters a new and intense love and must make a painful decision about this unexpected problem...

For an experienced police commissioner, solving a single murder would be routine, but the killer isn't satisfied with just one victim, and it's not easy to fairly judge who is the victim and who is the killer in this case.

The protagonists are the same, only five years older: Kocourek Kolman, mother Kocourková, mother Kolmanová and father Kolman. Kocourek applies to study graphic design at the UMPRUM. He has not been accepted twice because there is a great interest in studying at this university, only a select few are accepted. Mother Kocourková has long given up on the dream that her son will study something proper and that she will ever understand him, and so she increasingly talks to herself with a bottle of vodka. Kolman, meanwhile, is studying in his second year at the University of Economics. But instead of lectures and seminars, he is only interested in his classmates. He packs one after another. He solves his exams and credits by fraud or bribery. Kocourek, on the other hand, is conscientious and hardworking and falls head over heels in love with the enchanting Júlia, who is also applying to the UMPRUM.
