A single mother gets entangled in a web of lies to protect her sons.

Crustacés et coquillages is a fresh French comedy film with numerous surprise turnarounds and about the tolerance of a family of four. The family spend an idealistic summer vacation together where each of the family members gets involved in a new or old relationship.

People and life can be cruel, and in their face, Fannette is cool: toward an old acquaintance, to her daughter, to colleagues. Beneath the surface, she roils with passion for a lost love, Philippe. She watches "An Affair to Remember" again and again, and when she receives a letter from Philippe asking her to meet him atop the Empire State Building, she swoons. She's writing a book on an aged painter, so she organizes a trip to New York ostensibly to secure photographs of some of his pieces. The publisher assigns her a photographer, Matt, on the surface spontaneous and flip, but also aggressive about his attraction to her. Will she be with the one she loves? Will she smile? Written by

When Parisian accountant Alex (Gilbert Melki) stumbles upon a routine identity check, he stops to watch. The police tell him to move along, but he insists on his right to do what he likes in public, a point of view that earns him a night in the cells. Still outraged in the morning, he is committed to a psychiatric clinic. Then starts an absurd and implacable machinery that plunges Alex inside a sort of kafkaian world. Once in the system, how is he meant to get out? Emmanuelle Cuau's Very Well, Thank You is a very realistic story of a normal man who got caught up in a system where giving a late sick leave's certificate to your employer can be a motive of dismissal, where watching policemen doing their job can be considered as an "offence". A system, eventually, that shows us that today's society don't take into account the individual, but on the contrary play with him through laws, abuses of power, lies and paperwork. A subtle, unsentimental political drama that is comic and horrifying by turns.
