The feelings of a young lady for a Pontian Greek, whom his fellow countrymen call "the disgrace of Pontus", is obvious to everyone. Kostikas, however, doesn't notice her feelings because his mind is elsewhere. He is trying to become the president of the football team of New Pontus, in order to take the place of Giorikas, who happens to be in love with the lady in question.

Andreas, a blind shepherd, is the only man left in the village of Platanos, since all the others have left to seek work in Athens. The women of the village treat him as a sexual object, until a maid helps him regain his sight and escape the exploitation of the other women.

An unbeatable gentleman, he meet a widow, owner of a nightclub that has a hidden casino in its own. He goes in the club, plays cards and wins at first. But when he starts to lose large amounts, he understands that he has been the victim of gamblers. His reaction is immediate, he takes lessons from professional gamblers, and avenues his opponents. In the end, he also wins the beautiful widow.
