收到媽媽從山上寄來的蜜蘋果，小月計算著，媽媽已經在外工作許久了，媽媽的搖籃曲總是在耳邊呼喚著。『你媽多久沒回來了？』是小月（13歲）與碧艷（15歲）兩個小女孩彼此關心的話語。
初踏入青春期的小月來自弱勢、越南新住民家庭，身邊拾荒年老的父親（吳仔，65歲），使小月成為同學譏笑霸凌的對象。在專為弱勢家庭開辦的課輔班裡，與歷劫歸來的離家少女，國中生碧艷成為莫逆之交。
面臨退休的陳老師，僅剩社區開辦的課輔班，成為她可以如同過去一樣關愛學生的舞台。陳老師緊緊追尋兩人的蹤跡，也成為小月與碧艷邊緣生活中的浮木。
叛逆的碧艷，總是義氣的挺著小月，計畫了三天兩夜的旅程，利用小月畢業旅行的時機出走，帶著小月一起前往梨山見媽媽一面。
歷經了波折，兩人終於搭上隱匿在山中的6506公車。熱情盡責的公車司機，引領著大家穿越了台灣公路的最高點，匯聚到了山中小鎮，梨山。
三天兩夜的旅程，跟隨著兩個小女孩腳步，穿越了台灣的城鄉、跨過了高山。彼此之間的關懷，為即將面對的未來，注入一股純真的信心與力量。
