A musical comedy about one day from the life of five year old Petya's grandfather.

Based on the Don stories by Mikhail Sholokhov. Soviet power was only established on the Don, and a conflict broke out in the first commune: the wife of the commune’s leader Arseniy Klyukvin, having believed the promises of the white officer, fell in love and went to live with him with the child. She doesn't want to hide her feelings, but unable to withstand the bestial attitude of a white officer, she returns back to the Bolshevik.

The film tells the story of high school graduates, their first — still school — problems and challenges, Hobbies and disappointments, friendship and dreams.

The Trubachyov's pioneers detachment is stuck in the occupied territories during WWII. The children are trying to fight the enemy...

Two young people are forced to spend three days together...

The heroes of the film are students of a pedagogical university, those who, after a year or two, have to carry knowledge to schoolchildren, "to sow the rational, good, eternal." In the meantime, student practice. True, the practice is not quite ordinary, because for the first time students leave far from the walls of their own university, for the first time they meet with students in the classroom not in the presence of their teachers, those with whom life encounters them daily at the institute, but with those who have been working for more than a year at school.

A family movie about a life of Trubachyov's pioneers detachment during the years before WWII.
