A Mexican steer rancher goes to Spain to get some bulls he bought but that were never delivered. He meets a flamenco dancer during his stay in Madrid and falls for her.

José Luis, hijo del propietario de un coto andaluz situado en las Marismas, vive aislado y obsesionado con una vieja historia familiar, de la que sólo quedan el retrato de una mujer y un collar.
