When Kunverji looks into this further, he finds that both he and Reshma are lovers from a past birth, and they were fated to meet in this birth, as they were unable to wed each other in the last birth. This fascinates both of them, however, Reshma's and Kunverji's dads are furious at this, and attempt to make sure that the two are separated. Reshma has been promised to wed Shakti Singh; and Kunverji is to wed, Neha. Will these two lovers be separated again during this birth?

Ganpat is a village man who is innocent and honest. He makes his living by selling goods on his bullock cart hired by the villagers. At times he has the habit of falling asleep under the cart and children of the village steal the goods and run, which Ganpat then repents. One day a beautiful girl called Sapna comes to the village with her friends and her car breaks down. Ganpat takes them in their cart and tells them stories of the village and they are mesmerized. They laugh till their eyes water and enjoy their four days stay. Ganpat however has fallen in love with Sapna. Soon one day she returns to the village but as a married woman. This shocks Ganpat but he keeps it to himself. Sapna is married to businessman Shakti. Ganpat's mother asks him to accompany Shakti and Sapna to the city and work as their help.

A motor mechanic, Billo Chaudhary, creates waves in the local community when he dares to play Holi with the arrogant and wealthy Rajkumari Devika Singh. When she has him beaten and imprisoned by the police, he decides to avenge this humiliation by abducting her and inviting the wrath of her brother, Yeshwant - who sexually molests local women with impunity, who wants him dead at any and all costs.

Inspectors Amar (Dharmendra) and Dayal (Raza Murad) in their attempt to arrest bandit Sher Singh (Amrish Puri),, get injured, Amar survives, but Dayal gets his legs crushed and becomes wheelchair-bound. Later, Amar arrests local politician Jagannath Prasad (Kader Khan), who gets released without being charged while Amar gets reprimanded, and decides to resign. Later, Sher Singh hijacks a bus and holds the passengers as hostages in exchange for 25 of his jailed associates. Dayal's granddaughter, Seema (Mandakini), is amongst them, and Dayal asks Amar for assistance. Amar, along with ex-convict, Qasim Ali (Shatrughan Sinha), and Karan (Karan Kapoor), a drug-dealer, does manage to rescue them but differences crop up among the trio and they part ways. Then Amar finds out that Qasim and Karan have masterminded a plan to facilitate the escape of the 25 convicts, and decides to confront them.
